The Old Rock Church Families

The church has had many families that may have never been recognized, not for any reason other than no one can know who everyone during that time was. Who was your family or how were they associated with the church?

All families have a story and many families have never been given the opportunity to have the family story told. I am creating this page to give everyone the chance to tell their family story.  I enjoy hearing the old stories and I think it would make interesting  reading for all.

This is also a way of recording names of our ancestors that may not have been documented as being a part of the "Old Rock Church". as of yet.

In the book written by ELLEN MEARA DOLAN - "History of St. Patrick's Church Armagh" there is a list of 35 early settlers of the church, however it also states that in 1849 when Fr. Hamill was the priest, he recorded 600 parishioners. That was the in the first five years of the church. Who were these parishioners???? Their names were not recorded.

The family names will be listed below in alphabetical order and each name will be linked to their own family page. I hope that we can fill this page with our ancestors stories. I will keep this page online as long as I can get at least a few stories.  To submit a story click on the Family Story link below a form will open or if you have trouble submitting  it due to length then click the email link below to send.  When submitting stories keep in mind that shorter stories are more likely to be read,

All stories will be previewed before posting for proper content, I will not except links that I feel are inappropriate.  Appropriate links  will consist of family emails or family intended links.

These stories could assist people doing family research if you are open to information someone may have about your family you may put your email address on your story page to receive this info.

Don't let your family be forgotten! Even if no one reads the stories get it documented where they will never be lost.

email  us if you have a problem with submitting your form. Short stories are more apt to be read and if your story is to long you may need to email it to us.
