After an animated discussion it was decided in favor of the affirmative.

On Motion it was resolved that the following question be discussed at the next meeting of the society.

Was Napoleon superior as a military commander to Wellington.

The following members were chosen and consented to take an active part in the discussion.

On motion the meeting adjourned until Saturday March 24^th at 6 O’Clock P.M.

The regular monthly meeting of St. Patrick’s Benevolent Society was held at the usual place on Sunday March 4^th at the usual place.

Roll called and the minutes of the preceding meeting read and on motion adopted.

On Motion Mr. Owen Casey was proposed for membership and elected by acclamation.
