Pursuant to adjournment a meeting of St. Patrick's Benevolent society was held on Thursday May 10th, 1866 the vice president in the chair. Roll called and minutes of the previous meeting adopted. The committee of arrangements reported a selection of the ridge above Coyles spring as the most suitable place for holding the approaching festival. On motion it was resolved that the committee of arrangements be also instructed to act as committee on programs and report tat next meeting. On motion the meeting adjourned. F. W. Bowles, Secy The regular monthly meeting of St. Patrick's Benevolent society was held on Sunday June 3rd, 1866. Roll called and dues collected. On motion the minutes of the previous meeting were adopted. On Motion Mr. Charles Noonen was unanimously eleected a member of this society. On motion the president was requested to have 36 badges made for the use of the society and the necessary funds are hereby appropriated for the purpose. On motion the Secretary was requested to invite Major Murphy of Washington to deliver an address at our approaching festival. The Vice president there appointed Dennis Whalen. William Galvin and Henry Golden an auditing committee to examine the books of the society and report upon the same at the next regular meeting.
